Dr. Stuart Rosenthal
Dr. Stuart R. Rosenthal has been practicing general
dentistry in Ashland since 1977. He earned his BA from
Northeastern University in 1970 and his D.M.D. from Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine, cum laude, in 1974.
Dr. Rosenthal is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental
Honor Society. Following graduation from Tufts, he completed
a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish-Hillside
Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Rosenthal is a member of the American Dental
Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan
District Dental Society, West Metropolitan Dental Group
(past president), Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry
(past president of the Massachusetts chapter), as well as a
participant in several local study clubs. He has served as a
Clinical Instructor at Tufts Dental School and has been a
guest lecturer on dental health in the Ashland Public
Schools. |

Dr. Marc Rubin
Dr. Marc F. Rubin earned his D.M.D. from the Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine in 1991, after
receiving his BA from the University of Massachusetts in
1987. At Tufts University Dr. Rubin served as a Clinical
Instructor and was a member of the Alpha Omega Professional
Society. Dr. Rubin practiced for twelve years as the
Director for New England’s first community based dental
practice where Dr. Rubin began many innovative programs for
both children and elders.
Dr. Rubin is a member of the American Dental Association,
Massachusetts Dental Society and Metropolitan District
Dental Society, as well as a participant in several local
study clubs. His strong commitment to the Ashland community
is evident through his work with the Ashland Lions Club,
Ashland preschools and elementary schools. |

Laser Dentistry
Waterlase: Our Biolase Dental Laser enables us to greatly
expand out clinical capabilities with anesthetic-free, FDA
approved procedures related to cavity preparation, soft
tissue sculpting, and re-shaping boney tissue related to
crown lengthening. Our new state-of-the-art laser can, in
many cases, completely eliminate the need for traditional
drilling.
Laser Cavity Detector: Did you know that half of the
cavities found in your teeth could go undetected by current
diagnostic techniques? Our office now offers new diagnostic
methods that more accurately diagnose cavities in teeth.
Laser cavity detection can find even the smallest lesions
that might not appear on X-rays. Early detection enables us
to better preserve and protect your teeth. This new
diagnostic tool has received high patient acceptance and
satisfaction.

Digital X-rays
One of the latest technological advances in dentistry is
digital radiography (X-rays). A digital sensor is placed in
the mouth and a computer generates an image in seconds.
These X-rays can also be enhanced on the computer and
enlarged. Not only are they friendly to the environment,
they are safe for our patients as well. Digital radiographs
reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent.

Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera projects an image of your tooth onto a
monitor enabling both you and your doctor to see problems.
When magnified, we can precisely identify problems,
including cracks in your fillings or teeth, that may not be
detected by the usual means of examination. This allows for
good diagnostic information and clear communication as you
discuss options with the doctor. |
